New Quarterly Publication ‘Our Council’ has begun supply of the first version of a brand new council journal, free publication to all residents of the Local Government Area (LGA).
Titled ‘Our Council’, the publication is to be delivered quarterly to mailboxes all through Hornsby Shire and consists of updates on main tasks, information on services, local history and sustainability along with contact data for the Shire’s Mayor and each of its 9 councillors.
Hornsby Shire Mayor Philip Ruddock AO says the publication ensures that every one residents of the Shire really feel knowledgeable and updated on Council initiatives.

“To regular users of the web and digital gadgets, receiving a printed publication in the mail may look like a hark back to the past.
But as a diverse and inclusive group, it’s necessary that Council news and knowledge reaches all residents, not just those who incessantly use social media,” mentioned Mayor Ruddock.

“Now greater than ever, residents of the Shire expect to be saved updated on exactly how their charges are being spent and what we're doing to deliver well timed and efficient projects and providers, and to have their say and help us shape the method forward for our Shire.”
The first edition of the publication includes updates on initiatives at Hornsby Park and Westleigh Park, newest waste and recycling news, Council’s efforts in mitigating important highway damage over the previous years, and maps current upgrades and new builds delivered for the group.
